fazer s2 goes into gear but wont move!!

I have just gone to leave for work and i cant get my bike to move.
It goes into gear fine from what i can hear but when i let the clutch out it doesnt move. I can hear a slight whirring noise when the clutch is fully out and the bike is in gear. I have tryed all gears but no luck in any of them.
I am guessing that it could be worn clutch plates.

Any other ideas of experiences with this sort of problem??

I have just been looking into the problem and my front sprocket nut has come off and is missing!!

Cant see how that has happened!

Anyone mess with your bike lately? If they didn't tighten the nut up properly...... Happened to other members here before

Or didn't correctly use the locking washer/bendy thing.

Hope it didn't jack up your output shaft splines.

Yeah dude ... it's happened to me too, but you would notice if it came off while riding, trust me on that.

Easy to replace IF you haven't messed the spline threads ... if you have, get one welded on, and start researching how to replace the final output drive shaft.

This is the suckiest thing to happen.

Does the bike cut out when you let the clutch out?
The side stand cutout might be defective?

I believe the s2 model (2007+) does not use a bent washer as a means of locking the counter sprocket nut...
