We have 20 in Central Texas. They want to build a new one on the location of an old mall. The only problem is, among several, there are no major highways to support the traffic in and out of the store, and of course it will be busy. Also the neighborhood association didn't want an ugly box so Wal-Mart is required to make it look up-scale to fit the area better. But I digress...

There are 6 walmarts within 10 minutes of my house (no exaggeration).

I think they went a bit overboard.

Our closest wal-mart is a 20 min drive away!

We just got a McDonalds in our town a few years back.

how waterproof is that jacket? i am looking for something to wear over my normal MC jacket that will keep the water out. I have a jacket that is waterproof when i am walking around, but the high speed wind and driving rain finds its way in through the pockets when i am riding...

well it says water resistant...it doesn't rain in west texas so not sure...but the zippers have fabric that go over them...so i'm sure that would help with the rain and wind

I lost my interest in Walmart a couple years back. They wanted to put a store in a small town near where I used to live. The actually had someone else buy the land so the town didn't know that it was Walmart buying it, then everyone blew up when they found out the intentions, and that they were trying to get a zoning variance to put up the store. Long story short, the town got so pissed off at Walmart that they refused to change the zoning, and Walmart went away with its tails between its legs.

haha...has ne one else seen all those commercials about how they are opening more lanes for the holidays? bc when i went last night it seemed like there were less!!!! i hate those lines!
