about Gas economy

Fz6 S2 can do how much per Liter ?


in Brazil we use Km/l my bike can do 30-31km/l at 4.000rpm in speed between 60-90km/h and do 24-25km/l at 8.000rpm in 110+ speed , max is 140km/h

Fz6 S2 can do How much at Light Drive , At city Drive and At Touring mode ?
Ie ... normal mode about Slow 60-80km/h rpm? , City 80-110km/h rpm? , Touring driving 120+km/h? rpm? witch Rpm is the optimal drive

I'll put it like this, I ride fast...everywhere. on the FZ6 I was averaging 42-46 MPG. I miss the fuel economy of the FZ6 now big time!!! my R1 only gets 33 MPG and thats riding reserved. on my FZ6 the best I ever got out of a tank was 218 miles, and that wasn't using a lot of the reserve. my R1's best so far is 140 miles, and that is counting 20 miles on a low fuel light.

sportrider: your red R1 in the photo looks sick...over a car, 33mpg wins out for the badass looks and sound of that bike.

my bike uses about 6.2 liters per 100 km which is 16.2 km per liter.

Mind you, I gun it all the time, every kilometer is a fun kilometer

After all that figures I am a bit shocked how much my machine is using for the city... I am by no means a hell driver but I do like it to rev it up once in a while,so I came up to the following figures...

When the reserve light came up and I tanked for 13 liters roughly to fill it up (that means it leaves me with 6.5 liters reserve tank). By that time I made just under 110 miles (176km).

That gives me the following figures:

13.6 km/l

or

38.5 MPG (uk)
32 MPG (US)​

When I compared the figures with yours guys I was shocked.... No wonder I was thinking that my machine was bloody thirsty

What do you say about those figures? Is everything allright

Well, your math might be right - but something is wrong. Are you filling with bike on center stand? On my '08 I would be putting about 4 gallons US at "empty" with about a 3/4 gallon reserve. I've gone about 30 miles on reserve just to check it. The rest of the tanks "capacity" is holding air, not petrol. If you're only getting 13 liters in, my assumption is that you aren't quite filling it. I get about 1/2 gal more in with bike on center stand. Doesn't matter a bit for mpg, but if range is a consideration then you might want to consider it.
