Dropped my bike.. :(

Well I dropped my bike yesterday. I was going down a desolate highway, and I stopped to turn around because I saw something I wanted to take a picture of. And when I was turning around I was on a patch of grass. It was milduey(sp?). I gave it some gas and my back tire slid on the pavement and BAM! My bike was down on the right side.

I was not hurt..But my bike was. And IMO that's worse.

Anyways the damage was a broken brake lever. Scratched plastic and broken tabs inside the plastics. And part of the frame was scratched in the back. I now I can't really fix the scratch on the back but I'm wondering if any of you can help me identify what part #'s these are, and a place I can find cheap prices on them. Thank you ahead of time.

Here is a list of what the parts are:

1. Front Brake Lever
2. Piece shown in picture
3. Black plastic mounted under speedo and RPM guage (only a tab is broken...so annoying)
4. Back 1up handle

I tried looking up the OEM parts but I can't really read those exploded views so well. I'm not the savviest person with blueprints.

Sorry about the spill. Might as well do a mod and get new levers. Pazzo's for me. I love them. They are expensive though. If you want, I can send you my levers, just pay for s/h and that's good enough for me.

It will at least give you an idea of a part number maybe.

I had frame sliders on. The right one got pretty mangled. But the best purchase I've ever had. It saved me way more money on the damages I would've had on the tank.

Sorry to hear it, too. My son (17) dropped mine today, also. :spank:
Just was showing him how to power walk it. He stopped and it went down real slow before I could catch it. Fortunately, it didn't do any damage.:rockon:
Guess I should leave the riding lessions to the MSF people.

Thank you sooo much. :rockon: That was the exact type of information I was looking for. And the thing about the inner part is that the tab just wont lock onto the windshield part and it sticks out a little bit. More of an annoyance than anything. But that front cowling is the killer.

Boy, you got that right. I would have preferred that I (the rider) get banged up before the bike. Which is more important: the bike or the person? The obvious answer is "The Bike!" I can look at a bruised knee, cracked skull, bleeding knuckles but, looking at at bike damage after a drop----that takes more than I can handle.
