Different Handlebars?

Was just going to ask the same question. The angle is slightly wrong and hurts my wrists (been broken a few times due to snowmobile wrecks as a kid). Was thinking about some MX bars and remove the cross brace.

what are you looking for by changing the bars? Something further up and back? Or something with less pull back and down?

People have used things like bar-back risers or switching to the FZ1 bar for a lower, forward riding position to CBX1100 clip ons (or Helibars as Defy Inertia has done) all the way to Convertibar Clips-ons (get best of both worlds).

You can start by playing with your own handlebar by unscrewing the top triple bar clamp and tilting your the bar forward or backward... that can make quite a big difference already, and give you a feel for what you`ll get if you go with higher or flatter bars.

I am currently going with the LSL Streetbars (aluminum black, with black 14mm bar ends) from here: LSL Handle Bars

It will make me bend forward more on the bike, which is what I am looking for right now (better handling in twisties and less wind drag against my torso).

Of course, it`ll be less comfy for long trips, but I do mainly commuting and day rides in the twisties, so for me it`ll be perfect.

Thanks guy's for all the info. I currently did the "rotate the stock bars" but momma said it's still not right. I'll give the lsl bars a try.
