I have been looking around here and I do not see much on people with custom exhausts. I do not mean a akro or something like that. That is not custom, just aftermarket.
Has anyone actually taken off the massive pack under the seat and put in something different?
It won't be for a while if at all but I thought about taking that pack out, putting on some flexible exhaust tubing and then a 1-2 divider and then some cones like these: Megs Exhaust
About halfway down. I could probably put something together for just over $200 as opposed to $600 or more. I can get small cones so a 4 pipe like the laser would probably fit. Higher cost though.
Here is a clip of 1 on a bmw r65. Engines are different obviously but this seems to have a nice deep sound. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZTCrN7tbfA]BMW R65 Cone Engineering Exhaust - YouTube[/ame]
here is a cb350, the twin version but with the smaller pistons, sound would be somewhat close.
