Current techspec vs black stomp grips on the fz6, which??

Im looking to get a new tank pad in a few weeks and i have read all the threads on here about the techspec pads. I really like them, but im not sure which version i would like.

High fusion, snake skin, or c3??

The alternative would be the stomp pads because they have them in black but there is no pre cut for the fz6, just the fz6r 09-11. Would these fit my 05 fz6?


After doing the web research, i noticed that many people have issues with the techspec staying on BUT these posts were as recent as 2008. Maybe quality has changed by now?? The stomp grips also has a reputation of tearing up clothing but they have changed their design to lessen this effect.

Any input would be appreciated :rockon:

I think the opinions you get will depend on what people have, as many probably don't have experience with more than one style/brand.

Having said that, I have Tech Spec Snakeskin grips and they're frigging fantastic. Fit great right out of the package and grippy as heck. Love them.

Not at all. I think it's perfect thickness. I notice it, but it's not intrusive, and hasn't moved or peeled in over a year.

I have the techspec pads (snakeskin) on my Triumph and they work great. Easy to apply and you can even peel them off and re-apply if necessary. They haven't budged since I put them on. Just follow the instructions (clean the surface, surface temp, etc) and you shouldn't have any issues.

They've been on for a couple months now and they still work great. I know he still has the template, so I'm sure would make another set for any of you guys that are interested.
