cowling problem

Hey there, I just bought a new front cowling 2005. I need to know how to mount the side fairing onto the main cowling? Ther are holes but no threads for screws and the oem doesn't show how. So anything helps

I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about. A picture might help someone understand. I think I know what you're talking about but please take a picture. Sounds like you are trying to mount one smaller part of the fairing to another part of the fairing? You may need a clip or threaded insert and screws that are missing.

hi all you need is five screws self tapping (wide thread shape about an inch long) 3 at the top 2 at the bottom.. the threads are inside the arrow shaped fairing which houses the indicators

Here is the fairing drawing and parts list for the 2004 which should be the same.
