Cover for FZ6...

Looking to purchase a cover for my FZ...Does anyone have any recommendations..? (what size fits FZ6 best..?):don'tknow:

Here's how the Defender 2000 cover fits a 2006 FZ6.

I've got the 3000 model in XL, it appears to be the same but in grey instead of black. Covers the wheels perfectly. Best $65 I've ever spent.

I got the large Nelson-Rigg half-cover which packs into a fairly small pouch, but I doubt it would fit under the seat Nelson Rigg UV-2000 Motorcycle Half Cover :: New Enough Motorcycle Hard Parts It fits the FZ6 well, even over my big Givi E52 topcase. It got an excellent review from Motorcycle Consumer News a couple of years ago.

Mainly I was looking for a small cover to use when traveling, since I garage the bike at home. It's waterproof as best I can tell. Note that NewEnough also has a Nelson-Rigg Compact Travel cover if you can't live with the half cover.

Make sure the cover you get has:

- an inner soft lining (To avoid scratches)
- Is 100% Waterproof
- Has 1 or more straps so you can secure it under the bike
- Has a reflective surface (Avoid Cages reversing into the coved bike)

Also remember NOT to cover the bike until it has cooled down, - otherwise water will gather inside the cover, - and accelerate corrosion. This is also a good reason to han the cover up for drying as often as possible.

Get a FZ6 cover

+1 The FZ6 cover from Yamaha is a perfect fit, and well made. It's a little on the pricey side, but I think it was worth it and plan to get another if mine ever wears out.

Well I got lucky and bought if off another member who barely used his as he went out and got a differnt bike, so he had no use for the cover. When it rains, the water just beads right off the cover. It really doesn't get wet, there is no absorbtion at all.

Get a FZ6 cover

I've had the Yamaha cover for weeks. Finally put it on today. It's really nice!

I just ordered some Givi cases and I was worried that they may not fit. I'm still not sure but after putting it on I feel better about the situation than I did. I'll know if they fit in a few days haha

I have the Dowco Guardian Weatherall Plus Cover. The surface is made of really strong and waterproof material. During our little rain storm here in southern california, the cover did not absorb any water. Underneath is a very soft cloth like material so it shouldnt scratch the paint job or windscreen. There are also grommits and a strap with a D-ring that secures the same way some motorycle helmets do. I have a Cortech tailbag installed and the cover still manages to cover up the motorcycle pretty well. ALSO, Dowco offers a LIFETIME WARANTEE on their product. So if it just rips from the weather or because of faulty manufacturing just return it and they will send you a new one. Before the Dowco cover, I had a Covermax cover that lasted two years before it started to tear. Compared the Covermax, the Dowco cover seems a lot sturdier and thicker.

well the yamaha genuine FZ6 cover doesn't fit with the V35's installed... That's a shame because the cover is so nice. Anyone want to buy a barely used yamaha cover? I'll make you a deal on it.
