And they are tricky on the hiding part...

First of March up my Mabry's Mill there was a ranger hiding at the edge of a tree line. Another rider warned us about 1/2 mile before we found him.

Yeah, I've seen 'em hiding before, sometimes you can spot them a couple of turns early here at the southern end.

We usually run 55-60, and we've not been bothered......so far

Traffic is ALWAYS an issue on the BRP, as can be deer, turkeys and even a few hogs and maybe even bears. I worked for a guy a while back rounded the turn at the VA/NC line going southbound and ran into (litterally) a flock of turkeys totaling a BMW.

Yeah, traffic always sucks on it... I've came close to hitting DOGS most often on the BRP. Got the radio collars on, but no owners anywhere...

Unless your just down with the whole trailer/truck queen thing and feel the need to tow, or have to tow something else, I could suggest a couple of alternate routes that would get you to the other end and you could ride it both ways.

Due to time limitations, I think this is our only option right now. Both of us HATE riding highway, and there's no other way to make it up there in a day comfortably. I wouldn't mind seeing your routes sometime though...
