I'll make sure I'm not teaching that weekend. I'm off Sat, Sun & Monday from work. Maybe we can get together and go out to Dinner when you arrive.

Will you have internet access? Bringing a laptop? If not, I will PM my local mobile # before you jet off to the states.

I'm sorry, but every time I see this thread in the "recent threads" list I read it as "coming to amedikha" like how Fez says it on That 70's Show.

No computer i sold my little net book to wolf,didnt think i would ever need it, ill try and get on to a computer as often as i can when there, the orchid has one that can be used.
 
I'd say your in full countdown mode now. Good on you, stay off the computer when you get here and just have fun. We will expect one hell of a trip report with lots of pictures. Moto and Vegas can post up some pics before you get home.

Word of caution: Be very careful if you ever pick up the phone in a hotel! Depending on where you are staying, the charges are off the charts so try not using the in-room phone.

And don't send your laundry out using the hotel services, as it can be just as expensive. There are plenty of do it yourself laundry facilities that take coins to clean your clothes as long as you don't mind doing it yourself.

Try not to convert your money at the hotel or airport, as you will not get the best exchange rate. Try a bank. And this is the only good thing about using plastic, charge as much as you can abroad because you will get the fairest exchange rate using the credit cards.

One side note, I often visited the local casino's here in Vegas, more specifically the poker room, and I usually found a person from the country that I would be visiting and did a currency conversion with him, avoiding any service fees and bad x rate. Not sure if you live near a casino in Aus, but you might get lucky finding an American who's looking to dump some American Currency.

Any other tips for our visitors please chime in?
 
Ok finished work 5 days till we fly out 11 days till we hit san diego 24 days till we tie the knot, now these days are probably out of whack because we gain days flying over we leave at 9.30 pm on the 21st travel for about 19 hours and arrive at 9.30 pm on the 21st so who knows. Hey cliff andkenny ,michael from berkely will be joining us. Are we catching up on the sunday as a group or waiting till the monday.

As far as I'm concern, let try to hook up even earlier, even if it's just for a quick lunch or some coffee, dessert or ****tails in the evening. Why is the word alcoholic beverages deleted out? I must have spelled it wrong, coktails?

I will be in Vegas next month. Got a cheap package. Never been.

Will be there late May 20, leaving the 24. Staying at Bally's Las Vegas. I hear the location is great and the hotel is OK.

Going to try the 20 dollar trick for an upgrade, anyone ever try that?

My wife and I are going with another couple. Cant wait! We are going to rent some big cruisers. Not sure what to go, Red Rock?

If you dont have a place in Waikiki yet, this place is really nice. Private rental in an older hotel but the place is room is redone and very nice with a great view.

She is great to deal with as well - This is the room we had.

Cheers we have booked hawaii already but that looked like a great room. Im thinking of another tat but not going to travel to another island for it.
 
2 days till we sre heading for the airport it weas the first time i have ever wanted the weekend to go quick.:cheer::rockon::thumbup:
