clutch won't engage!!!i'm desperate

Hy ,first of all I apologize if i have made a new thread for nothing but like I said in the title I"M DESPERATE.
First of all i fave replace the clutch cable with an aftermarket one.When i have done the opperation i realized the clutch won't engage.The clutch work verry smooth write now but nothing happend.When i shift into 1st the bike stoped. I pushed the bike and started but nothing change ,when i pull my lever nothing happend.any idea?
P.S: sorry for my english i'm romanian.thx

When you squeeze the lever, can you see the push lever (the lever that sits on top of right side of the engine) move all the way?
If yes, did you do anything else besides replacing the cable? Did clutch work before you replaced the cable?

The replacement cable has 2 adjustment points. One is at the lever, the other one is half way down. If the cable is too loose, you will not get any 'pull' at the engine case, where the clutch really is. This is what Eric is talking about. Look and see if there is movement when you pull the lever.

i don't have done anything beside replacing the clutch cable.even when i move the lever from the clutch case is too soft.the last tine befor i was putting in my garage it works fine.today befor i start chainging the cable i don't use it.when i have open the screw from the oil i saw all te plates side by side.because in my garage is no heat in this winter it was maye some nights -20 celsius and i suppose the plates maybe are glued.i start the engine for about hour but nithing change. all the ajustment is tighten but stiil too soft.

If you have to pull it apart, hopefully this will help:

Yes very odd. Even at the cold temperatures the plates should still release unless it had some water in there and they rusted, which I highly doubt.

Make sure your cable routing is done properly and the adjustment is done properly. From what you have said I don't think this is the issue but check it again.

Would it be possible that the clip (#24 above) has come off and the clutch rod (#22) has moved out of engagement with the plunger (#8) ? I think that is how it works on this bike. Never had an FZ6 apart before.

Yeah, he's saying it won't disengage. Pulling the lever has no effect and lever travel is too soft.

to clarify, when you let the lever out, in 1st gear, does the bike move?

no the cable is soft it doesen't returns.
when i put in first the bike stops , i think it doesen't disengage.

Can you isolate whether it is the cable or the basket? Disconnect the cable at the clutch (not handle) end. Put a vise-grip on the rod going into the clutch and turn it. Does that disengage the clutch?

yesterday I finish my clutch.
first of all i have my repair manual at me ,after i have remove the clutch cover i didn't saw nothing rong maybe when i remove the clutch cable i've done something wrong but i don't know what.anyway then i install the clutch case I try diffrent position with the clutch cable pull lever. I pull the clutch cable holder almost at maxim in front of the bike so when i will push the clutch cover it will came at the guided points . I doesen't change the gasket and it was ok .I test the clutch cable pull lever and it was OK.after i have reatach the cable i saw it was a little to long (ablout 1.5 cm).i have reinstal the old one and i will order another one new at my yamaha dealer.
