On my XJ750 I was able to put the bike on the center stand and use a car jack on the frame so that I can change the front tire. However, the FZ just has pipes down there. I was wondering what you guys do to support the front when taking the tire off.

Thanks,
Chris Maness

I just used a jack with a rubber pad and lifted on the pipes, also put some bungees from the handle bars to the frame on an E-Z up just to take up a little of the weight. You can put weights on the passenger area of the seat to push the rear down or tie down straps on the back if you have somewhere to attach them.

I've hung some weight on the grab rails (backpacks with books and a 3 gallon fuel can filled with water). That works but I also supplemented that with a jack and a phone book supporting the headers.
