Just curious, lots of good feedback, but can anyone confirm the length of effectiveness? I mean, will it need new applications monthly, or will it feel buttery smooth for 4-6 months before it feels like it needs another shot?

I think the manual says every 4k, but you should double check that. I do it about two or three times a year and it seems to work fine.
