WOW thats a big circuit. Looks good.

Did you know there is a small section of dirt road from Legume to Stanthorpe? I thinks it's around 15km of gravel road. (just a heads up)

Be a bit of riding that day.

I just thought it would be good to spread our wings a little :D , seeing as we have done most roads locally........ We could always just ride back along the New England & avoid the dirt ( are we really gunna feel like crawling along that much dirt )..... Let me know if its to long guys and we could turn it into a blokes weekend away :D

I checked out my trusty map and reckon it's around 20-25km gravel. The last time I traveled that section (12 months ago) it was well maintained although it would be a slowish ride through that bit.

....could always just do the New England Hwy from Warwick to Stanthorpe to avoid this section. I believe the section from Stanthorpe past Bald Rock is now sealed. Could be an alternative route to Tenterfield from Stanthorpe.....

and maybe head north from Sandilands to Woodenbong instead of going across to casino.

650km in a day will be a big feat for us, particularily now the days are shorter. We'll have to have shorter/less smoke breaks

my mate Chris got some mail the other day, apparently he was speeding up the Bruce Hwy near Caloundra and got pinged doing 287 in a 110 zone on his CBR600. He is contesting the speed as he reckons his bike doesn't even go that fast. He has to show cause on Wednesday and then he will know what he has to look forward too......ouch
