I certainly attracted a lot more attention on the way to work this morning. I must admit to rolling her down the road before starting... Hey, it was 6am lol

Btw, at the end of your vid, there's something there slightly out of focus... Looks like a boob! :eek: woot

Installed the Two Bros exhaust kit today, and oh man, I got goose bumps when I started the bike for the 1st time! They are seriously loud, very interested to compare sounds Humps. I am now officially in the market for ear plugs.

The instructions were adequate at best, I'm sure there are steps left out and designed for a slightly different bike! The pictures showed allan keys being used, in spots where I had nuts and bolts :confused: Also the FE kit aint that great, I think the mounting is ok, but I've heard that the turning signals aren't that visible during the day and the license plate is definately a bit dim at night time.

Btw, thanks Paul for your help with the electrics. It helped loads to have the exact same bike there for reference, as well as someone to spur me on to at least doing it kinda right (sello tape in stead of pvc tape was one of my ideas :eek:). I spose I wuda got there in the end, but with your help I reckon it's a much more solid job now.

Here's some pics of our efforts, it took about 6hrs all up. Not toooo bad for my 1st mod.

Baz, cheers mate, unfortunately the police man I met last Friday night did not agree! I turned left into Lomandra dr and accelerated to get in front of a truck as I merged into the left lane and then had to slow down for a cager in the same lane. Damn it, the truck was obscuring a police car stopped on the other side of the road. Mr police man took leave from what ever it was he was doing with the driver he'd pulled over and came running across the road to wave me down! I pulled over and waited for him to attend to me.

He suggested that the only reason I slowed down so quickly was because I saw him, which is BS, if I didn't slow down I would have hit the car in front of me. Then asked some questions about the bike and proceeded to tell me that the *stock* rear wheel mud guard was illegal and should cover more of the wheel. ROFLMAO! He warned me that my blinkers were too small as well (the ones from the TB FE kit), but graciously did not hit me with a defect notice. What he did hit me with was, wait for it, $320 of friggin infringement notice for excessive noise!! No points, like a parking fine. But jeez, that was a bit hard to swallow. I must admit, I've been a bit ginger on the acceleration since.

Ohh mate thats gotta suck , might be time to put the db killers in for a while i think........30cm between globes for the indicators in QLD and as for the stock hugger well lets just he knows Sierra Hotel 1 Tango......

i have put my baffles in for around town riding......sorry you got pinged, that sucks.....it's not like you were endangering life with those evil noisy pipes!
 
Damn coppers. They going nuts down here too... This from another forum...

One of the guys had been out riding with his girlfriend, he was on a dirt bike, and after a few hours in the saddle, was riding, standing on the footpegs to give his butt a rest between lights. Anyway, a police car a few cars back saw him, imediately put on the lights and pulled them over. Accused him of doing mono's...(could see his head over the top of the cars in front of them) it was cold, wet and he was tired.. he wasn't doing anything of the sort. Also got him for taking his hand off the handle-bars... unsafe riding.
They booked him for that, then impounded his bike for a week.. he's got fines, and also parking fees for the week that they're impounding it for... Sucks.

They're fines for minor things are ripping us a new one... Sorry about your fine Krush.

man, i have done the stand up to stretch your legs routine about a milion times over the years.....if i was him, i would be fighting that one....what a toss!

Surely a Harley exhaust has a similar level of noise under acceleration, do they get pinged for excessive noise?
I did notice that I got a sidways look for a cop one day when I was riding one handed. Is one handed riding considered dangerous handling?
 
When police see a harley rider they generally run for cover :D
I generally only take a hand off the handles when I'm grabbing out my etag, but what else do they expect to get through the damn tag only roads.

I also saw a very hilarious sight one day heading out to the fiancee's, a group of riders was coming down epping road and it went from 60-80, the learner rider (with plate displayed) obviously didn't realise and had a police car behind him, so slowed to about 50, probably hoping it would pass.
On went the sirens and he got pulled over.
Further up the road the rest of the group was having a pretty good laugh.
Hopefully he didn't get into trouble.

I'm pretty sure it's not legal to drive one handed, just harder for them to spot. I guess it would be the same for riders. Need to stretch? Wave at a friend, adjust your helmet, or just plain old relax and put your hand on your leg for a bit, I've done it loads. I'd be fairly pissed off if I got done for that though. As for getting 'busted' for stretching your legs and giving your ass some respite, that's a bit harsh!

I think the issue you also face in these situations is, if the police officer is in a bad mood and decides he wants to take it out on someone, well there isn't much you can do unless your with a group of friends who will back you up in making a statement about what you where doing at the time.
 
Anybody interested in a ride Sunday morning (weather permitted) then stop at a mates pub at Esk for lunch.....Been meaning to catch up with him for a while thought i might try make a ride out of it :D

Yep, I'm in, bring some ear plugs for me humps? I've never really worn them b4, be good to try em out.
