Bris Fizz

OK gents.

Damian is heading up into the sunny coast hinderland for a quick squirt early Saturday. He is planning to go via Dayboro - Mt Mee - Woodford - Maleny - Kenilworth and return via the same route (may change depending on timing). Just a morning ride only - say around 4hrs.

I am going to leave Gaythorne (just up the road from where we usually start at Enoggera) at 7am to meet Damian at Dayboro at 7:45am.

Let me know if any of you are interested.

A little brisk to start with but it turned out to be a fantatsic morning for a ride. Started at 7am and got back home at 12pm including a couple of stops, 300km round trip.

Found a new section of road for us to play on. There is a damn good hill climb from Kenilworth up to Mapleton, about a 3km stretch, single lane, tight and twisty, no oncoming traffic to deal with and no opportunity for the boys in blue to spoil your day. A must do piece of road. Could spend awhile there doing circuits of that section.

Monday sounds good, If I can manage to convince the wife I need another ride. Probably a shorty for me as we are heading of to Brampton Island for the rest of the week :D and we need time to organise ourselves before we leave.

Lucky Ba$tard , can i hide in the suitcase :D........I'll know for sure tomorrow but just an early quickie over Mt G should do the trick

Mt Nebo-Glorious sounds good.

Sorry Humps, we have luggage weight restrictions unfortunatley, otherwise i'm sure i could have squeezed you into one of my shoes or something.

Cheers guys. Just logged on and saw these and I'm aiming to be there tomorrow morning. I'll be riding the FZ6. We meet around the back or at the front there?

Hoping you'll be patient with me as I'm not a speed demon by any means!

Thanks heaps for this morning guys - lots of fun and think I managed to scrub the tires in. Special kudos for the guidance back to home base as well!!!!!!

Now to deal with that speeding fine I copped on the WAY to meeting you all :spank:. Guess I wasn't paying attention because I was so excited and managed to accidentally edge past the 60.....

OMFG FMD, etc etc

Installed the Two Bros exhaust kit today, and oh man, I got goose bumps when I started the bike for the 1st time! They are seriously loud, very interested to compare sounds Humps. I am now officially in the market for ear plugs.

The instructions were adequate at best, I'm sure there are steps left out and designed for a slightly different bike! The pictures showed allan keys being used, in spots where I had nuts and bolts  Also the FE kit aint that great, I think the mounting is ok, but I've heard that the turning signals aren't that visible during the day and the license plate is definately a bit dim at night time.

Btw, thanks Paul for your help with the electrics. It helped loads to have the exact same bike there for reference, as well as someone to spur me on to at least doing it kinda right (sello tape in stead of pvc tape was one of my ideas ). I spose I wuda got there in the end, but with your help I reckon it's a much more solid job now.

Here's some pics of our efforts, it took about 6hrs all up. Not toooo bad for my 1st mod.

LOL....dont worry your TB's will be louder...and they vget louder the longer you have them!

Something worth thinking about, those silly little anodised end cap bolts, with the tamper-proof threads, thet burr very easily, and are a pain to deal with....do yourself a favour and go get some decent stainless hex head stainless bolts, they dont fall out, they dont burr, and they dont get stuck in there like the TB's supplied bolts....at Phgillip Island this year, i had to dril one out, which led to me having to get the tap & die set out to fix.

Awesome pipes though.....DB killers dont make much different either.

One more tip, change the cans from side to side every now and then, with the y pipe, only the right side one does anything, the left can is pretty much cosmetic....so the right pipe gets much more work.

here's a vid of the first time i started my TB's
