WTF is this??

If you’re going to haphazardly strap a camera to your handlebars, helmet, rear-view mirror or belt buckle, you may as well do it right.

Gadget.brando.com

Brando’s $US11 Camera Action Mount reflects a special kind of product design—one that doesn’t get bogged down too much with practicality, logistics, aesthetics or forethought. Instead, Brando sees a need—perhaps not a widespread one, but a need nonetheless—and just fills it. For as long as there have been cheap portable cameras and camcorders, shows like America’s Funniest Home Videos, and Break.com, people have been lashing their hardware to all manner of makeshift mounts using only their own ingenuity.

I wouldn't even say its a step above duct tape.

I personally use some Velcro for my camera mounting to reduce camera movements along with main mounting.
Yes, better than Duct Tape or Rubber Band... ha ha ha.
It's very verstile on reasons; easy to use, and tightening very well without damaging the camera body.
IMHO; it is a very good solution for the bike mounting.
If you have a chance, try it and you won't be disappointed...

$11 for velcro? wow.... if you ar going to spend a couple hundred on a nice camera, you may as well spend some $ to make sure it stays put...
