from what i've read not the easiest install in the world....you have to remove your headlight pods and heat them up to get the glue off the wiring for the bulb and then tie into that....potentially drill a hole in the back for the additional wires, but all in all doesn't seem too impossible even for the mechanically challenged....I mean I'm no mechanic and looking at it I'm pretty confident in my ability to do it myself....here's a link on how to do an r1 just to give you the basics

i would like to do this at some point
anyone have a suggestion for the silver? the halo eyes look so cool.. but I don't know if I would just get the white.. unless I saw a pic and it looked so cool I just had to have them.

Curious to know if these after-market headlight kits provide light that is...
a) comparable to the factory lights?
b) better than the factory installed?, or
c) not as good as factory, but looks cool?

they typically have blue, red, white, green, and yellow, I would say that the silver bike would match well with just about any of them, do you have any other color accents (after market) on the bike? if not then i would go white (most legal) Blue (faster

^...yeah i took one glance and that was enough for me to say "ah, no thanks." saw the light housing in the oven and a step like is getting to the complicated factor for me too. if anything i would have the dealer install em if i really want them.
in the oven doesn't scare me, but for the $100 that they cost on E-bay, i will just buy the pre-made kit rather than bending plastic tubing, putting etches in it, gluing tin foil to the back...
