Blinker keeps failing

I've got an 06 FZ6 with stock blinkers and for some reason my right rear blinker keeps going out. After I replace it, it will work for less than a month before going out again. I don't know much about bikes and the only thing I think it may be is that I keep on putting the wrong light in. Does anyone know what may be causing this and what is the correct light for me to put in?

If you put in the wrong bulb it probably wouldn't work in the first place.
Either there's a short, or your relays/fuses are bad.

Check all the wiring, check the fuses/relays under the side pods, and check the flasher relay on the left side of the fairing.

buy quality bulbs. I bought some from autozone that dont last a week, then got some quality sylvania bulbs and they last for a long time.

The other thing to look at is if you have any corrosion on the bulb holder or even possibly a loose wire at the light?

Are the bulbs actually blown? or do they just not work?
