I know the Admin had previously posted a review on the pod lights......but does anyone in the forum have them with their bike? (search didn't come up with anything). Thinking about the pods with the modulator .....want the extra visibility on the road....not to see....but to be SEEN. If you have them...what do you think....if you have something another setup which isn't over $100 let me know what you have. Looking for something bright and effective (beyond my neon helmet and high vis vest).
Thanks guys....and gals.

I've replaced the standard pod lights with the BikeVis 501 replacement LED bulbs on my 2005 FZ6. I can grab a picture or two if that's going to be useful?

I also have a set of additional BikeVis Bullet V2 LED lights which I want to put onto the bike in conjunction with the PodMod, however I'm waiting for a set of PowerBronze lowers to arrive before I do that as I was going to mount the additional Bullets on the lower fairing somewhere.

As soon as the lowers have arrived, been painted and fitted, I'll install the bullets and PodMod as well and take some photos.

Might be a couple more weeks waiting though, Powerbronze have a 2 week factory shutdown in August and I don't know if the lowers are going to ship before or after the shutdown.

Jason how bright do you find the standard pods? A picture would be great if/when you get a chance.

Ok, I did the BD43's dual headlight mod today and in the process I took some pictures of the original OEM pod lights and the BikeVis 501 replacement LED lights on my FZ6.

With the OEM lights installed...

And with the LED Lights installed...

In daylight the LED lights don't look as bright, however in darkness I think they look better and because it's a white light as opposed to yellow it'll be more noticeable from further away. When you add in the PodMod as well, that will accentuate the look further I think.

Finally, a picture with the LED's and headlights on...

Thought I'd just post a couple of photo's at night showing the BikeVis LED lights in the pod lights.

First one with just the LED lights on. At night time You get a much better appreciation for how bright they are compared to stick.

Second one shows both the headlights and the LEDs on.

How did you fit them
In the pod socket

I used the T10 501 LED Replacement bulbs that BikeVis sell for the lights in the Pod socket, makes it a straight swap with the existing bulbs.

I've also got a set of BikeVis V2 bullets that have been waiting to be fitted along with my Powerbronze lowers. The bike is having the lowers fitted this week so I should get the bullets + podmod installed at the same time. Will post another pic or two once I've got that sorted out. :D
