My cousin dumped my bike a while back but it was slow and i had frame sliders. I thought i had everything fixed until recently. It has gotten cold here really quick and i know that my bars or forks are a little bent not much just enough to notice though. I cant tell which one is so i ask which one do you guys think is more likely to bend the forks or bars?

Did the front tire hit anything while it was sliding? If it didn't, I'd find it hard to believe that it is the forks. I dropped my bike a couple of times at low/no speed and have bent the handlebars, but not the forks.

I'm guessing it's either one of two things.

1. the forks twisted a little and the bars aren't bent. Loosen the bolts in the fork crowns just enough so that you can re-align the wheel. Re-tension bolts and ride it around the block. Make sure that you use a torque wrench to set the bolt tension.

2. the bars are bent. Time to get some fz1 bars.

My bike got knocked over twice. The first time the forks had gotten twisted and I thought it was the bars...
