Hi.

First of all, this is my first post on this forum. I got my FZ6 two months ago after 14 years with no bike. I'm really happy with the bike, the only thing wrong was a few scratches on the barends. So I decided to get some new ones, thinking it would be an easy replacement.

However, the old ones won't come off. I don't dare to use too much force, because the hex sockets will just 'round off'.

Any tips will be appreciated.

+ 1 on this, the first time I tried to remove the bar ends I was trying to undo the central star shaped thingy.
Welcome to the site and good luck.

It worked using a regular allen key. I put on an aluminum pipe for leverage, and eventually they gave in. The old ones were steel an rusted. The new ones I put in are alu. Hopefully they won't stick as much.

Thx for the tip guys.
