OK, try this on....
I've been married 36 years. I knew my wife for 9 days when we tied the knot and 11 days after that shipped out for Vietnam. I now have 2 Kids, 6 grand kids , a whole bunch of dirt and street toys as well as a 1,700 foot dirt track with 9 turns and a 400 foot straightaway.
I am beyond happy.....

I was married 5 years, before WE decided it wasn't for us. We were both young and stupid. I am with a women now that I believe I will be with for the rest of my life.
I am married for five years now. Marriage is an ongoing process. Like a flower that was planted it needs caring, nourishment, energy, and maintenance to grow beautiful and strong; otherwise it might dry up and die.

A marriage needs yours, mine and ours. As long as all three are present things will go well. The problems start when one tries to change the other (which doesn't generally happen). Things like trust, honesty and understanding will always be a part of any successful marriage.

Married for two years, been togeather for 6 years. 3 children under three (must get the TV fixed). My wife ROCKS.
Do you need to adopt an adult from the UK? House trained and every thing.

I have been married 3 years now,2004 traditional, 2005 civil/court, and my wife is gunning for a church marriage to make sure i really have a harder time if I want to go my own way LOL. But we had been together for 4 years b4 that, so it feels like I have been married for 7 - 8 years
She is totally against me riding the bike and would gladly sell it if she could have her own way.

Earlier I had said that there must always be a yours, mine and ours to any successful marriage. In this case we have the common point that one is against what the other does and the other continues to pursue the endeavor; a good thing. Often it turns out the other way where one totally gives up that endeavor to "keep the peace," when in fact it is an issue that does not go away. Over the years I have seen many who have given up riding and I have seen this come to a point years later when all gloves come off and in pulls the new bike. To this I can only say "bravo" as it is clearly within the realm of yours and so it should be.
My wife would never, ever, dream of suggesting I not ride although there are times she asks why I go out in certain weather. I will however say that she too rides but she won't go for the street as it was she that suggested we build the dirt track. Ya see, she and the only grand daughter run together and love pissing off the boys.

Almost married until a surprise change-of-heart two months before the wedding last summer - WTF!!! Oh well... still got my bike and my dog. F***ing aviation anyways... LOL :Flip:

its still not legal for the boyfriend and i to be married. though i would not if it were legal. just seems to annoy people and challenge them needlessly, the whole concept, and its rather nice staying outside of the legal swirl of paperwork you all must abide by.

Professional bachelor here. I've never been married; have been dating the same wonderful lady for six years now but I'm too old and cranky to think about changing my life completely at this point. I'm happy.

Just a thought but why would being married require you to change your whole life? If it did then to me, the marriage wouldn't be a marriage. Rather, it would be an exercise in teaching the old dog new tricks. That should last a long time...... NOT!!!
