Anyone tried this FE?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone tried this fender eliminator kit and if the stock turn signals can be mounted on it?

Thanks

Yes, I ordered this kit. You'll be disappointed. Firstly, the kit will place your license plate in the same position rearward as the OEM fender....nobody will know that you've installed an FE kit. ;)
Secondly, the LED license plate light supplied with the kit is poorly designed and woefully inadequate.
FAZR6's FE kit is the best available for the FZ6, imo. Well thought out, and it looks GREAT.

The kit all of you use, FAZR6's kit, can't get it shiped to Cyprus, tried emailing SBN store, FAZR6 himself, nada.

So, I thought I would make a summary of all the remaining options in case anyone else is looking for one.

1)FE NTS: Don't really like the design and the small plates I have may not cover that lower section of the FE (I am also thinking of making new, smaller plates)
BLK Fender eliminator NTS

2)CyclesMotion: We already have a negative vote here. Plus I just received their answer, I will need to replace the indicators. I don't want smaller indicators than the stock ones. So =>rejected
FE CyclesMotion

3)Evotech As nice as it could get, already used by a member here. Hmmm, drawbacks? £52
EvoTech

4)RedBeep Products: Simple and similar to evotech, cheaper but I haven't heard of any FZ6-forum member using it, so no testimonials. I also noticed that the turn signals have a bit of an upwards slope...maybe my mind playng games again though :D

Bought the Evotech afterall. Too expensive but thought it was better that the others. Too bad I couldn't get the FAZR one though. Will post pics as soon as I install it

Found some time today to do the mod. Here are some before pics and some after.

I am thinking of making some smaller plates so it looks even better. Or is this good enough? What do you think?

stinks that you couldn't get the Fzr6 kit, but that one looks good

Does the FZR6 FE Kit still use the factory licence plate light, and will it work with Scorpion Exhaust?? The wife order me one with the small turn signals that I'm not crazy about and it was twice the price as the FZR6.

Thanks for the help.

Yes the FAZR6 kit uses the existing, stock license plate light and should work fine with your Scorpions.

Yes, the FAZR6 FE Kit uses the stock factory license plate light, and it is compatible with Scorpion Exhausts. The only "issue" that I had was that the Scorpion license plate bracket doesn't connect to the FAZR6 FE bracket...I had to drill a couple of holes in the FE bracket to screw it together. Otherwise, the FE kit is kind of "hanging out in the breeze" on the end of the horizontal "U" bracket. Not a big deal.

I think the led light is good enough plenty bright, you can see it in the pics of the back and that is during the day. the one you went with, is the one i would have if i had noticed it, i used my stock turns however had to take the rubber part off.
I posted pics in a previous post: http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-general-discussion/5173-my-2008-fz6-cobalt-blue.html

have you thought about just making one?
i made my own out of a piece of 1/8" aluminum. it uses the stock turn signals, but no lic. plate light although you could easily retain it if you wanted. it took only a couple hours and a few basic hand tools.
