I have a fz600 and the clutch has an oil hule and im not sure what type or how much oil to put in

Anybody KNow how much oil goes in a 1988 fz600 clutch case

if u mean how much engine oil, which i think you do cos the FZ6 has a wet clutch system then its 2.2liters if your only changing the oil and 2.6 liters if your changing oil and filter....thats 2.3 US qts, 3.8 imperial pts and 2.7 US qts, 4.6 Imperial pts.....im typing this from the manual
Over here in England i/we use 10w40 im told for warmer climates use 20w40 synthetic oil, there is a debate about using car oil some say it damages your clutch plates other say this is a myth cos car oil is much cheaper but ill let you decide....hope this helps

It ain't like the FZ6.
It should have a dipstick or a sight glass. Use whichever it has.
Drain the oil and pour in fresh oil until it's full. Count how many quarts it took. My guess is, it will need four quarts.

It's likely similar to my old FZ750 ('86)
it'll have a sight hole, and if memory serves there's no center stand on that one so you need to make sure the bike is upright when you are checking the oil.
I used to fill mine until I could just barely see the oil at the bottom of the sight glass. Then pull it upright slowly (so it doesn't fall on me) until it's upright -- that'd usually be pretty close to halfway between the low and high marks.
