Any tri-state area fz6ers?

I am from Poughkeepsie NY but I now live in Newport News VA. I plan on trailering my bike down to NY at the end of July. My father-in-law and his retired cop buddy have invited my to a Police ride in the city this August which I hope to go to. I hear it is a big deal, they close down roads and have police escorts. I wonder how all the Harley riding retired cops will respond to the FZ.
