anti theft for my bike?

I don’t have any kind of anti theft protection on my bike, which I find bizarre & I don’t feel well about it, although I garage my bike.

What do you recommend except chaining the bike to a tree?

Anyone using this device: XZZ6 ?

Please let me know what you guys use.

Errrh, remove the front tire and take it with you just like a bicycle
Seriously, lots of ways to protect your bike. But if they really want it, no amount of "protection" will do the trick. You can try:
Alarm
Wheel locks
Beefy chains with beefy locks
engine kill switch
bike cover, yup bike cover.
or
leave the b*tch locked up with the bike.

Best is, know where you're leaving your ride. Is it safe enough? Of course taking the cage is another option. The tree chaining ain't bad either.

+ 1000 on that. If you get a disc-lock, get one with a bungee cord that you slip onto the handlebars to remind you.... OR... I got one with an alarm, Xena disc lock, the thing has a movement sensor in it, as soon as the bike is moved/bumped, you get 110dB of screaming from it.

have the one with the built in alarm and it works good and you don't need a bungee if you have the habit of locking the fork like me when you forget to take the xena out and you unlock the fork and trurn the hadlebars to leave it will start going off before you take off that is if it did not already go off when you get on the bike because it is very sensitive. it work good but if they want it they will take it no matter what you do.

I use a disc lock on my front tire and go out to check on it once in a while when I'm out and about. I garage my bike at night.

A few of us have gotten a Spy 5000 alarm from ebay. picked mine up for 68 us dollars including shipping. and we got all the buggs out of installing it too so it should be pretty easy and clear to put in now. I use a Scorpio SR-i900 and a disc lock, and if I leave the house for a longer period, - I have a chain lock that I use to lock the frame to a eye bolt I mounted in the floor.
