Just came across this listing on eBay today:



Striking resemblance to my listing photo in the forum...Coincidence?



Just goes to show; you always have to ask about the condition of the item and verify that the photograph is an actual representation of the part. I hid the user's name as I have contacted them and will give them a chance to remove the photo. It is a significant amount of work to get the parts disassembled and cleaned up for sale; not going to let them ride my coattails!

They still haven't pulled the photo...may be time to report them to eBay.

I am not as much concerned that they are using my photo but that the photo is clearly not a representation of the part that they are selling. Nowhere in the ad do they mention that the photo is "not of the actual part"; makes you wonder what else they are passing off as their own.

The seller has a 99.5% rating, I wonder how many of those transactions have been misrepresented?

Definitely report it to e-bay.

Makes you wonder how that seller has 99.5% positive feedback. Sounds like the seller is just lazy and doesn't take pictures of the items they sell if they can find an image on Google.
 
Well, now it's time to slander:

My Follow-up today:

"I still have not seen the photo removed. I do not appreciate the fact that you have used my photo; Even more so, I do not appreciate that you are falsely representing your item using a photo of a unit in better condition. Please remove the photo, make note in the listing that the part portrayed is not the actual part; or I will report the listing.

The auction ended before he sent me the response. I hope the part was in somewhat decent condition for the person who won this :shakehead:
 
Hmm...maybe I should use this photo if I try to sell my slightly dinged fairing here. ;) :D Kidding...well done, man. :thumbup:
