Air Planes For Hump!

For anyone (Benelux/European) interested, on the 20th and 21st there will be Royal Netherlands Air Force Days at Gilze-Rijen Airbase. I'll try to take some pictures in between of work and post them here.

Anyone have any insight into the fire in the background?

Hump, 2/3 of the way down is a Mustang and a Spitfire - do they have the same RR power plant? These two:

Nope, two different powerplants :thumbup:...... That Spitfire is a MkXIX that was fitted with the Rolls Royce Griffon engine & was used mainly as a photo-recon platform & the US P-51's were powered by a Packard Merlin built under licence from Rolls Royce with a different supercharger fitted :D
