ABS Mod -Possible ?

I used search button but could not find anything about this subject
I plan to add ABS to my beloved FZ6 S1.
I couldn't find any data in the forum about this.
US Fz6 bikes have no ABS option but some Euro bikes have the ABS.
So ebay Eu would be the way to go. I searched for the prices.
The parts necessery looks like:

1. ABS pump (~$100)
2. Abs Ecu (~$75)
3. Sensor front (~$30)
4. Sensor Rear (~$30)
5. Front rim with ABS compatiblity (~$200)
6. Rear rim with ABS compatiblity (~$200)

Totaly: ~$700
It can be worth it. I plan to ride my bike till it is totalled.

So any advice would be very useful for this mod.

Don't forget to buy the brake lines as well,
they run from your brake lever to the abs unit, and from the abs unit to your rimms.
(so longer lines are required)
No idea where on the fz6 the abs unit was, but on my fz1 its under the seat. so braking lines run from my lever, underneath the gas tank to the unit under the drivers seat, and then back to the front wheel.

I compared a friend's ABS equipped FZ6 S1 bike today with mine.

ABS has two main units, An Ecu and a Abs pump that all the brake lines connect. These units are located under seat instead of cooling tank.

1. Both rear and front rims are different, that's the most expensive part of the mod.

2. Speedometer has an extra ABS light located instead of the left turn signal light.

3. The location of the cooling tank is in front of the bike near the radiator.

4. There are plenty of brake hoses around. Coming from fornt and rear master cylinders to ABS pump then goes to calipers.

5. The connections run through Main Ecu and it seems wiring harness is different. But may be ABS can be plugged externally.

It seems like a very complex mod to deal with. I don't think it will be worth doing it. Expecially because of the different rims.
But may be someday...

I'm finding prices from $2000 to $2200 for the FZ6 pump.

i want to tell you that i already did this mod to a FZ6 S1 like 1 year ago.

All started because my FZ6 S2 has ABS and my friend wanted to have ABS on his beloved bike.

You are on the right path with it, just wanted to mention you that the most difficult that we had was the metallic brake lines that were under the seat. They are not even catalogued on the parts manual, but we were lucky to find them on italys ebay site.

And another thing that bother us A LOT was the electrical wiring, in the first place we tried to copy mine, just the ABS controlling part, but that was becoming extremely complex, so he bought the electrical system brand new, it costed TOO MUCH, like 300US or something like that, but worth it. In the end his bike was like genuine ABS equiped bike. Is a costly mod, but some may find it a worthy. (i do)

I'm thinking about this mod, too. But I want to r6s forks, more efficient rear shock and more things...
I calculated costs of my bike's mod which I planned. I can buy Fz8 fazer with that money if I'll not spend to bike and sell my fz6 fazer
So I'm confusing, Fz6 fazer wih abs and fine shocks/springs or Fz8 Fazer with fine oem equipment+more young bike.
