A hole in the case...?

I'he never noticed it before, maybe it was always there, but it has to be for a purpose? Anyone can tell what are these hole for, or something fell off??

The smaller hole is a weep hole in case water should get into the spark plug wells. The other hole is from someone shooting at you as you rode by.....(jk) [emoji14]

Although this was solved some time ago, a picture brings it home right! That is the infamous "WEEP HOLE" which connects all spark plug galleys allowing water and oil (God forbid) to drain from the spark plug boot area should the caps allow moisture in or if the valve cover leaks oil!

Shown here is a Flashlight into plug well # 3, (all plugs are out) and Walla - light out the Weep Hole on the left side of the block! :thumbup:

Bonus point if you notice sparky in my left hand! opcorn:

In seriousness the second hole may have even been for a jig/fixture during the assembly prosess.
