I've had my FZ6 for almost 6 moths now after 12 years without a bike. I was never an aggressive rider at all, but I did love to ride. I forgot the joy of riding, forgot how much I loved the sound and feel of the wind, the way you and the bike become one. I tried to explain this to my wife, but I'm not sure I got my point across - and then I saw this...

This is how I felt the first time I rode my FZ6, the first time wound out first and 2nd gear, the first time I hit 115 MPH (top speed for me so far), the first time I had the front wheel come off the ground, the first time I took a curve real hard.

Almost orgasmic - Now she understands :)

Good to hear you getting back on a bike. Similar to you, I was off two wheels for around 12-13 years. And again, like you, my first bike to get after that was an FZ6. Great bike, lots of fun.

Congrats!

I think me and you got our bikes around the same time (june?) I didnt have that long inbetween bike for me it was only 8 months, but i felt almost the same way and this bike is worlds apart from my old v-strom, i know people compare the 2 but its like apples to oranges. Especially since i actually used it as a dual sport rather than touring, but this has been a whole new exciting experience fir me and i dont think i will ever go back to a bike with less than 100hp. This bike has taught me more in 9000miles then my dl did in 30,000 miles. Plus it enabled me to find the greatest forum of all time ever...lol
