Guess this is subjective and I have no real world experience with one but I had numbers of 35/40 in my head and it has a larger tank than the FZ6 so I figured that range wouldn't be terribly different which is mostly what I care about. Not best in class or anything but it seems to be in the mix for 125HP liter+ machine - comparable to things like the Triumph Tiger, but it does give up a few mpg to the Duc Multi1100

Nothing a proper tune will not fix. Not only do the guys at AF1 find more power with a tune, they typically improve the mileage. Micah stated that a 1098 will get about 28 to 32 before a tune, after a tune they are in the 36 to 38 range.

After my bike was tuned I saw about a 1 to 2 mpg bump. The problem with the FZ is the motor needs to spin to damn fast that it can be hard to improve the mileage much.

My new bike started in the 33 to 34 mpg range and now with 600 miles on her I'm gettting 39 to 40 mpg, not too bad for a big bike. :thumbup:

I don't know what the results of the 1130 were but Micah was grumbling as he was working.
