Ha.. Maybe if you hadnt mangled it with the awful silver spray paint on the engine and frame it would be worth 3600..

Not with this rear tire it's not.. good on you for putting 11K miles on the stock rear though..
Also, you might want to tidy up the wiring of your headlight.. you know.. in case your barely insulated yellow headlight wire catches a pebble, a bug, or.. rain...

Sorry but that bike is a s***ter of the first order

Crap spray job, thats all over the show, knackered back tyre, shagged chain and sprockets, rust, offensive looking headlight conversion

Jesus fella, the only thing thats half sensible is the FE and it looks like you've managed to overspray that and the rear indicators too!

If you knocked the 0 off the end of that price, you might get a few takers.

Sounds like a harsh crowd here -- but I think they're all giving good (real world) advice.

If you want to sell it, you can't just throw it up and hope for takers. Either clean it up big time or be willing to reduce that price significantly.

You will never ever be able to compete with other bikes on this forum for sale: the posters have been on for at least a little while and there's a little history (and perhaps more trust), the bikes look good (in good shape, clean, looks well maintained) and the prices are reasonable. Honestly at your price, yours goes to the bottom of the list.

Either way, best of luck with the sale.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but selling something that is covered under 1inch of dust, grease and silver spray is not a good thing.

if you clean the bike properly, put some ducktape around the headlight wires, clean the chain and install a new set of tires, maybe somebody is willing to pay that amount of cash.
I'm not found of the silver overspray, but that is personal choice.

when I would buy a bike, it must be love at first sight. All I felt when looking at this bike was stomach ache at first sight.

Te engine might be in perfect shape, but the eye also wants something.

Just my 2cent.

Good luck with the sale:thumbup:

Is this a joke?! All of that paint is going to pop off that bike the third time you start it! :rof: It's sort of unfortunate (except for the entertainment factor) to see the bike in that condition. I mean it looks like a rattle can job on the frame, hoses, and engine etc. Over spray on the everything! The fork tubes look like they're also not the originals

Looks like this was done by someone consuming large quantities of other stuff as well!!! :spank:

Sorry man, but hey! :welcome: to the forum! I see you joined up a while back and I don't remember saying hi!

Opps.. Didnt anyone else see this? Its the guys only other post on here.. Maybe we were a little hard on him.. He wasnt the one to trash the bike..

"I have a 2006 Fazer that has no front fairing and looks like it was painted with a broom. Previous owner knocked it over in his garage and modified it under the influence of large quantities of alcohol. What emerged was a bike with a large cruiser windshield, bucket headlight, and after market turn signals. I would like to restore it as best as possible. It is a low mileage machine that runs and handles as it should, just looks humorous. PM or email at [email protected]. Feel free to call 757-544-7206
Thanks,
Danny

Well this is my first visit since the posting. Must say that it has
generated quite a few responses. An email or phone call would have been nice,
but what the hell. Perhaps written responses are more honest. Though no
offenses were intended it appears that many have been taken. I do however find
it humorous that an inanimate object can effect some one emotionally, but to those
offended please accept my apologizes.
Since this is a forum and not an auction site it is hard for me determine a
value for this bike. The tank and plastics have been repainted, but there was
nothing that could be done about the rest of the transmogrification. The bike runs
very well so striping it seemed kind of extreme, but perhaps that is its fate.
Would a grand off be in order, or should I expect more abuse about the reduced
price? My idea of a good bike is one that will get me there and back. Don't
really care how I look along the way. My philosophy is rather than wash a bike
one should ride in the rain once and a while.

It's all on good jest.

Sorry, but I can't comment on value - in Oz :D

Good luck with the sale.
