2005 > 2007 speedometer

I got a 2005 bike and I´m putting a speedometer from a 2007 bike on it -
does anyone have experience of this and can help me ?

I got the wire harness and speedometer from a 2007 bike but the wire harness seems to be identical to the one I have on my 2005.
It was bought on e-bay, could it be that I got the wrong wiring or is it exactly the same ?

need to know how the wire colors are on the wire harness on the 2007

I´ve found few old threads here about similar conversions but all pictures are gone -
with that said, all pictures of wiring diagrams, how connections are on 2007 and if possible, how it should be would be very much appreciated

There is a separate wire (red with a yellow tracer) that feeds the instrument cluster on the S2 series (your instrument cluster)FZ6. The S1 series instrument cluster was fed internally. There is a red with white tracer wire that is the same as the red with yellow tracer. Test the red with yellow tracer wire at the plug. It should show nominal +12 vdc. That +12 vdc is tied to the red with white tracer wire. If you don't have the voltage at the red with yellow wire pin and you have voltage at the red with white wire, you can make a jumper between them and your cluster lights should work if...
