This world is huge and there are way too much nice places to visit, in every continent, in every place, it's a real shame there's no enough time/money

but anyway we can always share our adventures and show others our local (or remote) places we have the opportunity to visit :rockon:

it looks more scary than what actually was, nothing that being careful and respectful of the machine/rider capabilities can't handle.

fortunately I have ridden my fz6 loaded and two up before in that kind of dirt, so a bit of previous experience was welcome

last day of the trip ...

Day 4,
Sunday April 4 -> Riohacha, Guajira - Medellín, Antioquia

taking care of the air pressure before starting our return home journey

just some minutes before leaving at about 0700

hydration stop at 1405, after additional 547.3 km / 340.1 miles, of course we stopped before for breakfast and more hydration
at this point 1801.1 km / 1119.1 miles

at some point in a long stretch of road and while travelling fast my girlfriend said "stop stop stop" - thanks God for such a wonderful woman ... and for the Scala Rider Teamset - so I pulled over and surprise! the right mirror glass was almost hanging, so here's the result of the Duck tape repair

at 1741 we stopped for rest/lunch/dinner, additional 287.3 km / 178.5 miles
at this point 2088.4 km / 1297.7 miles

Finally we arrived home at 2206 after additional 197.6 km / 122.8 miles

Total ride of the day was 1033 km / 641.9 miles

Total ride of the trip was 2286 km / 1,420.4 miles

Completelly tired but totally satisfied!

nice trip you had there, i remmember that cheap ass gasoline when i was on vacation in venezuela, you just can't beat that price.
I remmember one person saying that gas, cigaretes and alcohol are the cheapest in venezuela, even water costs more.... do the math lol

Thanks for posting your adventure memories. The different foods of the world always intrigue me, especially the meats and seafood.

It appears that there is quite a difference in economic and culture standards as you traveled from the cities towards the ocean. Did you ever worry about crime?

For sure the difference is noticeable 'cause it actually exists, as every third world country social and economic differences are sometimes too strong.

Regarding worrying about the crime, not at all, just the two rules of thumb:
1. don't leave unlocked stuff on the bike, e.g: gps, tank bags, gear, etc
2. don't go to dangerous neighborhoods in big cities, for this local forums and the nice and honest people are the best source of information

It is true that unfortunately in this country there is still guerrilla and crime, but not everywhere and not all the time, now we can travel all over the country and visit places and ride through roads impossible to visit and ride 15 years ago, just use some common sense and follow advice from all the good people we have here and listen to the police and army forces :thumbup:
