So up at the Shnecksville Fire Company, there was a charity event to raise money for a kid named Adam with a strange kind of cancer. Nearly 1,000 motorcycles showed up for a huge group ride. It was LOUD, LONG, and TONS of fun. I snapped a few pictures and shot some video.

It is impossible to see the front of the pack, but at moments (during straightaways), as far as the eye or camera can see, are motorcycles. Major roads shut down, traffic was stopped and lined up for miles waiting. Police escorts, news reports, waving spectators, the whole deal. Sorry for the bad quality on the second video - I had to lower the resolution to get as much footage as possible.

Nope I was one of the few wearing my gear. It was maybe 90 - 95 degrees out and HUMID. Listen for the guy to the right of me in the first video making fun asking if my bike was on (because my fz is so silent compared to his friggen 2,000,000 decibel chopper).

Most of the bikes were choppers and harley's, but there were a great number of sports bikes.

You couldn't pay me enough money to get me on a bike so loud that I can't hear anything else. The fizz is a freaking ninja amongst elephants.

I agree to disagree, no offense intended. Different strokes for different folks. If it was realistic, i would own a chopper, a harley, a sports cruiser, an all out sports bike, then I'd have a project bike just to mess around on. Loud pipes save lives, remember that one too. But i love everything about my fizz and would never want to get rid of it specifically for a chopper (or something to that effect).

I can respect anything with 2 wheels, sometimes even 3.

But yep the fizz is completely silent, especially if cagers have their windows up. That's the one thing that irritates me (hence him making fun of me). I would like to at least HEAR the exhaust when under 6,000 rpm's.

But hey man, to each his own - i had a great time.

My comment is just stemming from my ride yesterday. I saw sooooo many cruiser groups and it was/is such a rare sight to see one of them wearing a helmet.

Hey man, there are bumper stickers everywhere saying it. I'd rather be heard than not heard. And I hope your not implying that I don't know how to ride because that would be rude:thumbup:

I think we've derailed this thread from its original point.

Kudos to you for getting out there and riding for a good cause. Looks like you had a great time.
