'07 Seat Handle on a '06?

a little while ago I low-sided and scratched up my left side, including the rear seat handle (I did have frame sliders which helped i'm sure). the damage is only cosmetic.
I was noticing that the '07 bikes seat handles are colored, and I was thinking I might replace my '06 matte black handles with the faster red handles. has anyone else done this, or any reason why the '07 wouldnt fit on the '06? Thanks

I took a quick look at the parts catalog (you can check out http://www.carolinacycle.com) under the FENDER section.

The part numbers are obviously different, but it looks to be the same to me. I would double check of course...

I superimposed the two parts graphics in Photoshop and found that there should be no difference in size and that they should properly fit. Of course, this is as long as the parts graphics from the Web site are correct.

ryanFZ6, if you decide to do this, and it looks good, definitely posts some pics. I may decide to do the same.
