Ive found the handlebars on my 09 fz6 are just too short, and when i got it, the right was bent. more than an hour of riding puts my right shoulder through hell. i will be commuting heavily soon, so i grabbed some bars off of my 1980 xj650 that has electrical problems. they are about 3 inches...

How do you centerstand free riders check chain slack?

The manual states to check chain slack on the centerstand. Presumably checking slack on a paddock stand would throw off the measurement seeing as the swing arm would not be hanging as if it were on the center stand. My bike does not have a centerstand. How do you guys who don't have centerstands...

    Help! Throttle Sticking.

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of a throttle sticking issue. Basically if I put a lot of slack into the throttle cable it doesn't stick at all, but when I adjust the slack out of the cable it sticks. What's the best way to have a throttle without slack, but also that doesn't stick? Thanks!

Bike Not as "Snappy" After Chain Adjustment

I adjusted my chain yesterday since purchasing it from the previous owner. The chain slack was able to hit the bottom of the rubber swing arm chain guide, so I didn't bother to measure the slack. I adjusted it using the tick marks near the aluminum chain adjuster block. I then measured and it...

Proper chain adjustment makes a WORLD of difference!

Just wanted to post that after scouring the forums for the proper way to tension the chain, I found out that I had been improperly tensioning my chain since I bought the bike in April. I thought that the noise (whine) coming from the bike when I eased off the throttle with the engine still in...
