Thanks for your help and support guys - the bike is back on the road!
I removed the seat and lifted the tank. Separated the side-stand switch connector and tested it - worked fine.
Then I checked the clutch switch and that too worked fine on the multimeter.
Hoping beyond hope, I fired...
Thanks for your reply....
She runs beautifully and started first time... I didn't add stabilizer to the fuel...
I've dug out the Haynes manual which has a big section on the 'safety circuit' so I'll work through that tomorrow and report my progress...
Thanks again for all the help here....
Hi,
FZ6 S2
Haven't been around for a while and my bike has been untouched in the garage for a couple of years... Long story...
Anyway, I tried to start her yesterday and the battery couldn't quite make it (understandable)...
So I charged her overnight and she started first thing...
Hi guys...
I've made a box for the pipe and it weighs 1½Kg.
Shipping Datapost to the UK costs €27 and to the 'States €30.
So, it probably isn't really cost effective...
However, my daughter is visiting me here in three weeks and could hand-carry it back to the UK and ship it from...
Hi guys...
I'll pack up the pipe tomorrow and weigh it. I can then give you a definitive answer on shipping costs.
I'll also take some pictures so that you can see it has never been used.
Hi,
I have a spare Arrow cat eliminator for an 08 FZ6 .
I bought it alongside a LeoVince exhaust upgrade not realising that the Leos came with one.
I'd need to ship it from Cyprus so the costs of that have to be considered.
let me know of anybody interested and we can work out a price.
You're right!
Call me a cynic "You're a cynic" but the pictures on Boston's post are the same as those on the J-Speed web site... same bike, same pictures... :D
In fact, 70% of Boston's posts promote the clamps and ALL of Scooternauman's do so.....
I think it sucks...
Surely your engine would need to be on fire to damage them if they really are suitable for race bikes? Your valves would be dust!
I would have hoped the guy would be aghast that something like this could happen in such a short time and (warranty or not) would have...
I find that when I start the bike ALL of the exhaust gasses seem to come from the left hand pipe (looking from the rear).
After a spirited ride tho, both pipes are equally as hot and seem to share the gasses...
I omitted the discs and the dB killers....
