    Automatic Chain Oilers

I was wondering how many use or have had experience with automatic chain oilers. These come in handy for touring and long everyday commutes, but have little value for short or occasional rides. I'm mainly interest in the brand and your experience.

    Garmin Zuma 550 GPS

What are the opinions on the Gamin Zuma 550 GPS for motorcycles. It seems to have the bluetooth feature to link the unit to your cell phone and allows the audio to come over the bluetooth ear piece, which is a nice feature. I was wondering if it allows the unit to be voice programmed. I know...

Be cautious using Simple Green to clean you chain

Be careful using Simple Green for cleaning your chain or general bike cleaning. It seems that over time simple green reacts with aluminum and may discolor your rims. To be safe on aluminum it has to be highly diluted. https://lists.cs.wisc.edu/archive/vfr/1999-August/msg02534.shtml

    Bridgestone BT021 initial tire evaluation

Today I went to the coast of Oregon and put on 162 miles on my bridgestone bt021’s. So between yesterday and today they have a total of 222 miles. Before I left I reduced the air in the front tire to 31 psi. and the rear to 34 psi. I knew I’d gain a pound or two back in the tires when they got...

    Time for new tires!!

With 14k miles on the original bto20's it's time for replacements. The front tire is mostly bald and the back has a one inch bare strip down the center but the front is definitely the worst:(. I decided to replace them with Bridgestone bt021's since I got such good service from the 020's...
