We use that signal all the time up in the North Georgia mountains. I figure most car drivers don't know what that is so I flash my brights for them.
I think everyone has it covered. I trimmed mine with scissors and then took a glass of warm water and put a little dish soap in there. I rubbed the handles and the inside of the grip puppys and they went right on. Definitely a bit more comfy now. I'd say it was $10 well spent.
That's a damn good video with a lot of good information really. I remember many people failing the course on the base MULTIPLE times. I agree that a lot of people try to get the biggest, baddest, fastest as their first bike. To each their own but I wish some people would think a little more...
That's a really rough decision. I really like my FZ6 BUT I don't have any seat time on a ST. I'd try to find one I could borrow and put some time on at least to see how it felt. If they were both equal, I'd keep the FZ because I really enjoy it. If the ST edged it out in some way, I'd probably...
As a follow up, I ordered one of the Nelson Rigg covers. I ordered a large and it fits PERFECTLY. (It states it's for 750-1000cc sportbikes.) There is no sag and it's quite tight. The quality is top notch and you can feel the difference between this one and the one I bought from Target for $25...
FWIW, I found a motorcycle cover at Target. (It's like a K-Mart or Wal-Mart if you don't know.) I was a bit surprised but it was $25 so I bought one. It's actually pretty nice. Very light but has held out light-medium rain. It has heat padding in the back but it's not high enough for the...
So far, my only complaint is my wrists get pretty sore. I did about 5 hours in the twisties up in North Georgia on Sunday. My shoulders were a little sore but my wrists hurt pretty good. I don't feel like I'm putting a lot of pressure on them. Maybe I'm just adjusting to it. The Magna was a...
I was doing my North Georgia Mountain loop this weekend. Took the highway up and did about 40 miles of twisties. Stopped at 124.7 miles for a fill up. Took EXACTLY 2.2 gallons. That's 56.68 mpg. During my "normal" city commuting, she gets about 43-44 mpg. I wasn't expecting that much of an...
I'll throw in.
Me on my Vacation to New York a few years back. (Mostly acting like a GOOF which is normal for me.)
The REAL "Mayoke", my best buddy.
I'm a Patriot Guard Rider and that pic was taken at the Ride for America on Memorial Day. That's my old 1984 Honda Magna...
Howdy all! New FZ6 owner here and I hear this is one of the BEST forums on the web! ;)
Anyway, my name is Mike or Michael or "hey you." I've been riding for about 10 years, mostly old/older bikes. I've owned (2) Suzuki GS500 (89 & 93), (1) ninja 250 (89), (1) Honda hawk GT (89), and (1) Honda...
