Wow, I buy/sell/trade bikes all the time and I must have missed those "newer machines" in the 4500.00 - 5000.00 range that you speak of ??????? I only buy perfect or very very near perfect bikes, usualy not a mark on them, that's how I like my stuff !
But, if they are out there, and you can...
Yeah, I figurerd that was his cloaked way of busting chops. Unlike most people, I don't need to sell it and my bike is perfect, as opposed to the retail asking pieces of junk out there. Compared to them, mine's worth $6500.00, just sayin. I was going to bust chops about people living in Canada...
I'm 51 years old and having had a broken back 30 years ago, my body is telling me to trade my 2002 CBR954RR for an FZ6 or FZ1, maybe even an SV1000S or 650S.
My RR only has 12,000 miles, just hit it today, and it is as close to perfect as you will find anywhere. This bike is near mint, very...
Sold my FZ6 a couple years ago, never did like the naked look and couldn't find lowers cheap enough, bought a naked FZ1, sold it, bought a mod-heavy FZ1 with lowers, loved it, too fast for me, I can't control my wrist at times.
Current.....looking at a 2009 FZ6R real serious. Less thas 3,000...
My wife is the most understanding (kind ) woman I know, but she might put an end to me if I added a 3rd bike to the garage that's already full. I just bought a sidecar for the Harley which put the zero turn mower outside under a tarp !!!
Thanks for fixing that Dean.
I have a feeling I'll end up keeping this bike. I just hate lending out a 1000 cc bike to guys that aren't every day riders. It's my "work" bike and bike I loan to 2 pastor friends of mine that love to ride, but don't own a bike. I know most of you guys don't like...
I can't believe no one has given you the magic answer yet.......pre-load the shifter. Know what I mean? Put a little pressure on the shifter before you pull the clutch in and commit to shift. You'll still let off the gas, pull in the clutch lever, then commit to the shift, but before you do any...
Lighten up Portugal, I'm just ribbing. I would never have needed any more speed/power than my FZ6 had and I missed it the day after I traded it away, so I corrected my mistake and got an FZ1. Had I been offered a bangin' deal on an FZ6 instead, I'd have taken it. I got a smokin' deal on the FZ1...
It's a 2002. Not fuel injected and doesn't take premium fuel. I couldn't care less if it did take premium fuel. I don't ride a bike to save gas money and as far as range, I don't care how often I have to stop to fuel, if I'm going long distance, I take the big Harley. The FZ6 was plenty fast...
Yep, my FZ is faster than your FZ. No, not because it's silver. But, because it's an FZ1 !!! That's right, got rid of the slow FZ6 and got a real FZ, a real bike, AN FZ1. Loaded with extras and did I mention it's FAST ??? I like my silver color now as well as my ex-FZ6 in red, maybe even better...
