    4 weeks & 4,500 miles through Europe

Just spent 4 weeks & 4500 miles on a camping tour of Europe, mostly in the Alpine regions riding the passes in Switzerland, Austria & Italy. The FZ6 worked very well. 100% reliable. 60 mpg (UK). The only slight downside was a lack of low down torque for the uphill alpine hairpin bends...

    Givi V35 panniers?

Has anyone fitted these? I am thinking about buying them. Any info would be great. Did a search but couldn't find anything. Thanks.

    Givi S850 - Satnav barbag

Just got this: It takes a car widescreen satnav (this is a garmin nuvi 255). As you can see the clear plastic cover does create some reflections making the satnav more difficult to see. Although it is much better in real life than on the photo. The case is well made and fits easily...

MRA sport-touring screen fitted - Pics

Easily fitted and nice quality. Reduces wind noise a bit, not as much as I hoped for though, but has made a big difference to helmet buffeting. Much smoother. The main screen is the same size as stock with just the adjustable spoiler fitted. I am quite sure it would be not too hard to make...

Just fitted some Givi engine bars: Easy to fit apart from they replace the centre stand spring spigot. Which means disconnecting and reconnecting the spring, its a bit tricky.

    My arse hurrts!

The standard seat is doing my backside no favours. So after the favourable comments on here I have ordered a seat from Top Saddlery. Here's hoping for the best.

    CO2 Adjustment

I know this has been covered before... I had a look at my CO1 and CO2 and they were both set to 0. (UK bike). I changed CO1 to 10 and CO2 to 15. Started the bike, and it seemed a touch quieter on tickover and felt a little smoother on the throttle with slightly better pickup. All...

    Improving front brakes

I find the front brakes a little lacking and was wondering if changing the pads would help? I did a search and a few people seemed to like EBC pads. Would they help? (Everything is working fine btw)

    Grip puppies fitted

I fitted grip puppies this weekend. And they DO make a difference. There is much less vibes coming through the bars. Together with the Thunderace bar ends I fitted they work a treat. It takes a little getting used to the extra thickness of the grips, but other than that these two...

    Pic - Thunderace barends

If anyone is interested in fitting Thunderace barends this is what they look like on the bike, quite a bit chunkier than the standard ones:

First post and notes on a couple of mods

Hello, picked up my 08 FZ6 a couple of weeks ago and its brilliant. The only real issue I had was the levers. So they have been swapped for Pazzo's, and the difference is well worth the money. Fantastic. I did feel there was a bit too much high frequency vibes coming through the bars and...
