2006 Yamaha FZ6 for sale.
Bought a new bike so this one has to go. Its a 2006 Yamaha FZ6. Bike has a little over 8500 miles on it and is in excellent condition. Due for a plug change so I will do that shortly. Oil changes frequently with Mobil 1. Does need a rear tire so I will probably have a...
I wear a Shoei RF1000 and I have both a light smoke and dark smoke shield. I wear the light smoke 98% of the time and you can see fine in the dark with it. On very bright days it still lets too much light through though. The dark is not good at night obviously but works great on the bright...
I've got the same bag. My only complaint is the textured part under the magnets will scar the clear cloat(put the same pattern in the clear). I've put tape underneath where the magnets attack and have not had any problems since then.
Interested in this also as might be taking the FZ1 plunge in a few months as well.
Is there any difference between an 07 and 09 FZ1. Found a new 07 for $7700.
Using Mobil 1 here.

What About PureONE
If you're thinking you want to install a PureONE oil filter on your bike, please think again. PureONE oil filters are designed for vehicles, not bikes. Because of PureONE's high efficiency, the motorcycle oil pump may not be able...
I was under the impression that the 04-06 bikes did not need the battery disconnected as the ECU does not learn like the change in the 07-08's. Also no o2 sensors. You've got an 06 so disconnecting wouldn't help anything. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I honestly don't think the seat is that bad. I made a 6hr ride soon after getting the bike and my butt never hurt. Can't say the same for my hands, they were numb for days. I do wish the seat was somehow more contoured as to prevent you from sliding/moving around and keep you in a stable...
Scorpion pipes with K&N filter and Juice Box. Running stock settings. I had very bad popping before the Juice Box and it was running much hotter, so much so that you could feel and smell it. With the additional fuel it cured most of the popping and the bike runs normal temp again. I also...
Yes its normal. I ended up taking the right side back off and using a dremel to remove some of the material. I'm probably still 60%left/40% right now. Made no change to sound. I could have gone a little more but there will be a point to which if you open it up too much you will have...
Same here. Running them since 1992 on nearly 10 vehicles and have not had a single problem. No engine clogging(LOL), or engine related problems of any kind using any aftermarket air filter.
I'll bet you can't think of or find a proven example of a aftermarket air filter clogging an engine. The amount of extra dirt is minute. Not like these things just came out, they have been made for some 30 years.
I don't really see what you guys are missing. You want more air flow, you get less filtration no matter what aftermarket filter you use. Doesn't matter who makes the filter they do what they are supposed to do, flow more air. More air =more dirt. Pretty simple.
