I agree, Clutch less is the way to go.... 1,2,3 use the clutch... 4,5,6 Clutch less,Never had any problems that way... Clutch every downshift though.... :Sport:
Probably the first top speed run on my FZ6, When you let off the throttle it comes off quick.. Loaded the front up pretty hard and was a ruff ride for a sec. until I eased back into it and geared down the rest (I really thought I was gonna loose it:jawdrop:)... I've been way faster on a RACE...
Right on dude:rockon:!!!!! I remember having the little Evil Knievel wind up motor cycle toy with the ramp, I jumped that little thing off everything I could climb up on... I wish I still had that thing, after his demise:bow::bow: (RIP EVIL) that things probably worth a fortune now...
Most kits require alternate blinkers, license plate brackets, And I'm not sure but I think a license plate light(it comes on the bike so surely it needs it)?? With a fair amount of ingenuity you should be able to rig up something on the plate, but make sure you get blinkers most kits I've seen...
Pics of the bikes.... The Yamaha is un-molested, While the Suzuki has had an eliminator kit installed... And blinkers shaved (looks clean I must say)...:Sport:
I live near Tyler.... I would also like to add, the Yamaha is a little more radical feeling... It's a constant struggle between wheel speed and wheelie, and I have found a nice low wheelie through 3rd and the bike cant go faster without looping..And yet still the torque wins out with the Suzuki...
Alright, First the bikes... Both bikes are stock, brand new from the factory..The Suzuki (zuki) is silver with the sports flairing package...The Yamaha which we will refer to as the "Hammer" :D cobalt blue with the upper flairing... Both bikes are fresh out of break in, and ready to ride.
Now...
Drive it like a dirt bike, stand up and try to position more weight on the rear to keep the front from "Digging".. I like to rack it good and drift a little which also transfers weight to the rear.... The fz6 is a little heavy in the front so I generally "Help" it when I can..... I also really...
Yea, I usually preload the shifter a little and either fan the clutch or blip the throttle to get more positive shifts... Good thing it all worked out cause that probably sucked bad..... It would have scared me anyway..:Sport:
Re: Top Speed
I've had mine up to 152 indicated.. It was on 1 mile long bridge with high dividers.... It'll run up to 140 in 5th like WOT then 6th pulls it up to 150 fairly quickly , But then it go's like 151,151,151,152,152,152, And I start running out of room, However the bike is only showing...
Oh and I second the idea of clutching it up being a bad idea... The bike will come of the ground straight throttle and you don't get the unloading/loaded effect, It stays engaged the whole time.. I can't see the video via my crappy computer but how are you doing the wheelie stand up/sit down...
Ok so it's a fast girls bike? Or Big girls bike... No not that one how about Equally as fast male or female Not just a touring bike.... ;) :) :) :)
........ Later........
Try pre loading the suspension....alot... I bounce mine down hard in nail it in second gear... It comes up very very nice :) I wouldn't try to give any details but give a little gas at first then more, and more, you know? And if you time it just right it works perfect.. I stand up on the pegs...
