Did the suspension review but will go back over it in more detail. Saw on another thread about raising the forks in the triple tree 10mm, may try that as well. Thanks
One suggestion a friend gave me was to put a bungee cord on the tie downs to keep them tight should the bike's compression compress a bit more (thus letting the tie down drop off).
I just resurrected a FZ600 this weekend...noticing that when I turn the bike it really wants to turn into the curve. (Turn right and you need to keep pressure on the right grip or the bike will turn in on itself). I've ridden BMW road bikes on the street - this is my first non German road bike...
Townsend - will check vent lines upon reassembly. Currently cannot get it to do more than idle.
Ran out of gas myself so this will be checked next time I'm in the shop.
Thanks
Have had excellent experience with Babbitts Online in Michigan. Very helpful, good site with parts fiche. There is a gal named Jackie on the parts counter that is knowledgable as well as helpful.

Thanks to all for the help.
Reassembled everything, finally got a new fuel pump gasket (a new one is a definitely needed), the pressure regulator fit as well. Put it all back together, hit the "go" button and it runs! Problem is that is all it does - dies at the slightest touch of throttle. I...
Had to back track thru the Denso catalog - look at Amazon 23280-22010 for $15.57. Please note: I do not have in hand, it may not fit but dimensions indicate that it is darn close and at 36 psi.
But, I have not tossed the one I pulled out. Hope for joy this weekend.
Finally dumped the vinegar...
PO must've let it sit for years, never seen gas go that bad. Thanks for the suggestion on the pressure regulator - it was awful. Cleaning it now but think we've ordered one via Amazon, hopefully the correct one. Happy to report the apple cider vinegar really works! Took two weeks but it is clean.
Just replaced the pump. Was able to clean everything else up nicely. Will do the pressure test soon.
Where is the paper clip to post pictures? I must be blind.
Got the pump reassembled, plugged into the bike"s harness and - ta da - it works. Now just have to get the tank cleaned out (currently on week two of the apple cider vinegar treatment).
Thanks guys and gals!!
We took the entire pump assembly apart, cleaned it all but no joy with the pump bench test. Do you know of a replacement pump I could use (vendor, p/n)?
Thanks
We pulled the air box and got it to run on starting fluid. But no throttle response. We then verified power to the fuel
pump. We then removed the fuel pump - holy varnish Batman! Will need a new pump, sending
unit and a boiled fuel tank, just awful in there. How do I post pictures??
The bike is up on the center stand, in neutral. I noticed the side stand switch, which can be problematic on my other bike. Can I simply disconnect it or do I need to connect the wires to each other after disconnecting from the switch?
Thanks

All good suggestions. Hear the pump coming on but probably haven't let it pressurize. Just wanted to see if I was doing something like trying to start with the side stand down.
Will break out the manual and dive in.
Thanks!

Just got a 2005 Fazer with a dead battery. Replaced the battery but no joy as to starting. Bike is up on the center stand. Bike cranks nicely but will not fire. Gas in the tank. Any suggestions as to where to start? 18,500 miles has sat with a dead battery for months. All looks good under the...
