FZ6 Left mirror and FZ1 bar weights

Hey folks, as mentioned in the title Im looking for a left mirror assembly from an FZ6 as well as the bar end weights from an FZ1 (in good condition, no scuffs or scrapes. I'm not on the forum much so the best way to get in touch quick is via PM which I'll see in my email. Thanks!

New FZ6 Owner - First Street Bike

Welcome! You've made a really great choice and if I had a bit more money and knowledge at the time I started riding I probably would have got one too. While its no supersport, it has a lot of room to grow into (performance wise) as your riding skill increases while still maintaining comfort...

POST your Tune Map, Bazzaz, PCIII, PCV - AutoTune, Z-AFM

Necropost, but here is the PC-V map EDR did for my bike. Conditions of dyno tune: Fuel: Chevron 91 octane Elevation: Approx. +185 feet/57 m Timing: STOCK Exhaust mod: Tiger US-800 dual carbon slip-ons Emissions mods: Pair valves (air injection) plugged Output figures are below...

Tuning fuel and ignition for operation on premium fuel?

I'm currently down in Corvallis for school, not many bike shops around here, and certainly none that are experts in tuning. I'm not willing to do business with EDR after the misinformation I was given about tuning options/potential, in addition to other reasons over the course of the past year...

Tuning fuel and ignition for operation on premium fuel?

I'm aware of the practice of physically modifying the trigger wheel to "trick" the ecu, but AFAIK this is just an across the board value increase and doesn't take into account the varied ignition curves programmed into the ECU for lower gears. I specifically want to have have electronic control...

Tuning fuel and ignition for operation on premium fuel?

Hey folks, lately I've been contemplating putting some more time into tuning the FZ to take advantage of higher octane fuel. From what I gather, in stock trim these bikes are supposed to run on 87 octane fuel, however given that the FZ motor is of the R6/R6S family (which make or power and are...

    First trackday, first lowside

I did trackday about 3 weeks ago at a local kart track that hosts events for small displacement bikes (supermotos, 250's). The FZ6 was barely eligible for open practice at 599cc. I will say it was the wrong bike for a tight a technical course, too heavy, too upright, too much power. I was in...

Help me choose my first replacement tires

I'm in the same boat needing to get a first set of replacement tires due to age. Bike just rolled over 2k miles but being an 09 model year, the rubber is rather old. I dont feel very confident leaning the bike over compared to many others I have ridden (I feel like Im pushing/pulling on the...

Tiger US-800 carbon exhaust (before & after)

Didn't see anything in my inbox, but I did some research on the PCV tonight, and they do have an ignition module but it's not listed on the page specifically for the FZ6 on their website. Nor did I find out if ignition can be adjusted independent of each gear. I'm now realizing if I adjust the...

Tiger US-800 carbon exhaust (before & after)

The tune was done on premium pump gas as opposed to regular. It seems odd for yamaha to recommend low octane fuel on such a high compression engine, so maybe the ignition needs to be advanced to take advantage of the higher octane fuel. I sent you a PM by the way!

That would be great! I've yet to meet any other FZ6 enthusiasts so far!

Tiger US-800 carbon exhaust (before & after)

Tiger is a small manufacturer, and are apparently completely unheard of in the western hemisphere. Even in Europe they are relatively unknown. There's better exhausts out there in terms of weight (I know akropovic titanium is very light, and probably other true full carbon fiber units), but...

Tiger US-800 carbon exhaust (before & after)

DYNO RESULTS ARE IN!!! Running Power Commander V hardware with a custom map from EDR Performance for the Tiger slip-on, some very nice numbers were achieved! Midrange power feels great, the torque curve is very flat so the power feels very linear. I clocked 155 MPH (indicated) after the tune...

To Those With Pazzo's (or knock offs):

I have a set of standard length Pazzos and I LOVE the way they feel. Very nice machined tolerances, less wiggle in the lever than stock. Not to mention they look awesome. My only issue is I set them on the shortest pull due to tiny hands and I dont think I get enough clutch disengagement. I...

Tiger US-800 carbon exhaust (before & after)

Hey folks, I'm new to the board and the FZ world but thought I would give some feedback on an exhaust that I purchased. After a short period of ownership I decided the stock exhaust had to go! After looking around online and watching some videos I landed on an exhaust by a company called...

    New owner from Oregon

Must be someone else, the only car I own is a Mazda RX-7. There are 2 seca turbos in PDX I know of. One is a 1982 in a private collection, and the other is mine, a much rarer and more powerful 1983 model. My plan is to run a wideband O2 sensor on the FZ6 for monitoring AFR during tuning...
