    'PARK' fuse keeps blowing

I shall do. Thank you for all your great knowledge. I've ordered a used wiring harness (couldn't find new anywhere) for £10, and will get a new bulb this week. Edit: it looked to me like the harness had been crushed against the bracket for the top box, which is bolted into the rear subframe...

    'PARK' fuse keeps blowing

Today I took the rear off of the bike and inspected the wiring. Very quickly, I noticed that the armoured cable running from the loom to the rear light cluster has been crushed. The armour has split and the blue wire inside has also crushed and split. It had continuity most of the time...

    'PARK' fuse keeps blowing

Thanks for a quick and knowledgeable reply. The lighting is completely stock. Once I put in a new fuse, all lights affected (indicators, rear runner, and numberplate) all work. One thing I have noticed is that the running/brake light cluster is slightly loose. I recently removed the top...

    'PARK' fuse keeps blowing

Hello all, About 2 weeks ago my indicators and rear running light (PARK) fuse blew. It was the first time it had happened since owning. I changed it with the spare. Last night as I started the bike after work I noticed that it had gone again. A trip to Halfords later and I bought a...

    Grinding/sawing noise when warm.

I hope there's one left by the time I get some cash! Haha.

    Grinding/sawing noise when warm.

Re: Grinding/sawing noise when warm - I am an idiot. Thank you all for your replies. Yes, I'm not gonna lie, I have no idea how the spark plugs could have done anything in the way I had described. It just seemed strange how this noise suddenly started after I had done so. It is...

    Grinding/sawing noise when warm.

That's a good shout. Unfortunately it seems to spin freely, with a little friction, which I assume it normal? All wires appear to be against the bracket.

    Grinding/sawing noise when warm.

Yesterday I battled for a few hours trying to change my sparks upgrading to iridiums. Plug #1 was an utter pain! Once I had finished, I took her for a spin. All fine until it had really warmed up. Then it started making a reasonably loud rubbing noise, akin to someone sawing wood in time with...

New member - the big read

Nice one. I went pillion last year. Always usually go by car otherwise. I hope it's a nice day this year!

Quite a boring story really, mate. In the UK, the BBC used to promote reading week once a year, called the big read. I'm a big bloke and my surname is read. Sorry it wasn't more interesting, haha.

Cheers, buddy! Pics in a link above somewhere. It's in streetfighter thread as I got a stock UK naked model. I only have a couple of snaps at the moment. Got some subtle mods I wanna do this year and will be updating pics as I go along.

Thanks a lot for the links. I'll have a nose in there. On the subject of Sussex/Kent, does you ever do the London Hastings Mayday run? I am FINALLY taking part on my own bike this year and very excited! Jesus Christ!!! That stuff looks amazing. I am definitely going to give those...

It was a bit windy yesterday

I'm impressed by how strong the wind has been. This is how mine looked back in December. The wind kicked it straight off the side stand!

New member - the big read

Cheers, buddy! Yeah, I'm learning a hell of a lot riding in this weather. I ride every day to/from work. Haven't really ventured much more than an hour away yet, purely because I haven't needed to. But, come summer, I wanna tour the UK and some of France. I have good quality dry trousers...

It certainly is. From the day of my test, until now. Nothing but rain. Everyone's telling me to sell it so the sun comes back out, haha.

Thank you. No worries. I was more worried that someone was spamming on my behalf. This forum looks like a wealth of good knowledge and friendly, fun people. I'd be a fool not to try again!

Throttle Position Sensor Issues (Are you Experiencing Poor Idle/Mileage, or Stalls?)

I changed the air filter to new K&N a couple of months ago. I have some new sparks in the garage that I will put in this weekend. Fingers crossed that will help. Cheers for the quick response!

It was a bit windy yesterday

Lame, dude! Mine went for a kip just after Christmas. My office creates a huge wind tunnel. Luckily had crush mushrooms on. The impact loosened a lot of the crap stuck to the chain and sprockets, which bought to my attention that it needed a damn good scrub. Scares the hell out of me leaving...

Throttle Position Sensor Issues (Are you Experiencing Poor Idle/Mileage, or Stalls?)

I ran my diagnostic. I got 17-102. I have no symptoms of the idle dropping, or anything along those lines. But I do have dreadful mpg. Around 100 miles per tank. I mostly ride with gentle throttle. And my rides at the moment have been short, cold journeys to work (about 5 miles each way)...

    Post your FZ6N Pics!

Hello. New to the forum. Pretty much new to riding, altogether! My FZ6N I bought here in London in October. So far I am stock, apart from some [poorly applied] rim tape. Next month, new chain and sprockets. Following month, red braided hoses and new pads. Not many pics just yet as the...
